Yes, actually he is. My friend made him from the old World of Darkness book Changeling: the Dreaming and the Shee (I think that's how it's spelled) are mostly like nobility and have noble bearing. And I tried to incorporate that into the picture. I take it I've done a good job of it if you could guess it just by looking.

OH The Sidhe! It's pronounced Shee, but the actual Gaelic word is spelt Sidhe I think. I'm almost sure of that. >is a dork who owns a whole book dedicated to Irish Faeries< But I'm also mot sure if they're refencing Irish Faeries in his book. XD I think you're peice somehow inspired my recent sketch of Oberon, Faery King. When the lineart's done I'll show you. :3 You're friend's character is so regal, I hope Oberon in my sketch caught the same air.

Yeeeeah.. I actually DID know that. lol It slipped my mind. I didn't think about it. It is Gaelic. (And their phonetics confuse me! Like French.) I think they are actually referencing the Irish Faeries here. And, actually, was taking sorta where we got the whole concept of Bansidhe (Banshee). Which, I think, is where the spelling confusion came in. lol I have put my time in researching mythology and folklore. Now, if only I could retain phonetics and pronunciation at all times. XD

I'm glad to have inspired your drawing of Oberon. I'd DEFINITELY be delighted to see the picture when you're done. I love Oberon! Hell, I just love the whole play!

George certainly does know how to create a noble, regal character. Bryar, I'm sure, will be a wonderful character in my game. I'm looking forward to seeing how he reacts to situations I present! I'm only glad that I managed to capture that royal demeanor. (It was a bit scary for me. There's a fine line between noble and graceful and just plain eccentric, at least for my art.)

It's okay that you forgot. I'm a mythology student so I tend to retain these things. As well I do research on the celts in my free time. (I ish a dork-ster :B ) Seriously. No life. I secretly want to strip down to half naked, pait myself blue, and run around screaming "You may take our land but you will never take our freedom!" and then POOF turn into a werewolf! :3 When other little girls wanted to be ballerinas and princesses I wanted to be a werewolf. Mwahahaha! No life, seriously, this is the stuff I think about...

This Oberon isn't the fun loving, silly type like in a Midsummer Night's Dream. He's actually kindda seriouse. H's the Oberon from my sister's comic Faeries Bible. But he won't even appear in the story til halfway through and we're still in the early chapters. As well the drawing I made is for a Tarot card. He's suppost to be The Magician card. I just did him because he's the first in the Major Arcana.

oooooh... my mistake on the Oberon thing. Most people say Oberon and when they don't put it with an addendum they mean Shakespeare's.

I didn't have a life either. When other little girls wanted to be princesses and ballerinas I wanted to be a gene-splicing mad scientist. Unfortunately, I later discovered that while I liked science I was absolutely piss poor at math. And being bad at math does not make DNA, RNA, and all over gene-splicing, chemistry, or balancing equations all that fun. And that's part of being a mad scientist.

Too bad. ;.; I'd have let you splice me with a wolf so I could actually be one. Then both our dreams would come true. Well, except for the dancing naked in blue paint under the full moon... I think I can still do that one. XD (Just not legally in a public place, how do you explain to police when you're sitting naked in a jail cell that you were going to your 'church'? XD)

Well, I imagine it would seem a tad odd. XD But then again, I'm also not sure they'd argue with you if you did that AFTER being spliced with wolf-DNA. lol Something about a 7' tall hulking half-man, half-beast werewolf crushing your larynx that just tends to make people take you seriously.

But if not after that... well, yes. Awkward wouldn't even begin to describe it. But I imagine it would've been only a little more awkward than what I almost went to jail for. It was around easter and my friends and I had volunteered at a haunted house (yes in easter) at a biker rally. Daniel was speeding, we got pulled over. We were all looking sorta odd for spring. Torin smarted off to the cops. We almost got arrested. I would've been sitting in my jail cell, with the women away from my three male friends, with blood splatter all over my clothing. Sure, it was fake blood.. but damn me and my convincing make up art techniques. ;_; The cop didn't find the realism very amusing.
